Michael and Sarah Wedding

It was great to be a part of their day, - such a lovely couple having an authentic relationship. I loved to be around documenting their wedding. Sarah and Michael knew each other from childhood days and it was a wedding waiting to happen. The couple were the sweetest and I loved documenting everything happening, surrounded by their friends and family I felt very relaxed and welcome.

@23 Montrose street - Glasgow City Chambers

The City Chambers was designed by Glasgow-trained architect William Young and was opened by Queen Victoria in August 1888. Its iconic interior is made with white Carrera marble alongside Venetian mosaic tiles in a wide variety of colours and designs. Glasgow City Chambers provides a stunning and unique venue to hold your civil ceremony and gives great opportunities for Wedding Photography. Walking through the great architecture and interiors of the City Chambers through open space gives a magical feel of a royal wedding, I was stunned and excited by the authenticity of the venue and could not wait to burst my creativity and do the romantic shoots of the couple, let me show you their story!

What do you do as a wedding photographer at a full-day wedding?

It means I have to be everywhere, absolutely everywhere at the right time, from time to time in two places at the same time! It means I have to capture the special moments that everyone sees and nobody notices. It means that I only catch a breath every 3rd shoot while running around making sure I have these important moments on camera. What else? Co-ordinate the whole day, schedule family portraits, being on the front line to make sure we go with the schedule during the day and no opportunities are missed for wedding photography

What happens during a typical full-day wedding?

I will take photographs in a candid style unless we make a list and I will do my best to follow all your requirements. Otherwise, I will go with a typical day schedule: morning preparations, details, bridal party in robes, putting the dress on, groom preparations, groom fun shoots, arriving at the venue, groom waiting by the alter, 1st look (fingers crossed) ceremony, rings on, kiss, kiss, kiss. Group shoots, confetti shoots, candid guest shots, photos with friends, speaches +reactions. Any photos that anyone asks for, I might hide for 2 minute silence but I ll be back in no time! To do more intimate romantic shoots, Cake cutting, bravo! and 1st dance and dance with father! And having a wee dance myself. That’s it! Wait no.. cards, batteries, 1h left to copy files, files count? 1700 ready I think I could go on and on. I enjoy to comeback home and relax after few days I will start editing.

One of the personal things to feel was the love of the bride and the father, their dance was full of pure love! Not having contact with my dad myself it was a heartwarming feeling to see their happiness on the dancefloor!

The Cake was out of these dreams, beautifully decorated in sunflowers, just another happy detail of Michael and Sarah’s Day.

Big Congratulations to you both, It was a great pleasure to tell your story!
